If you missed the Cleveland Browns preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers last Saturday, don’t worry. Nothing exciting happened, and the starters hardly played for the Browns.
Since not many starters saw the field, the backups played most of the game. Safety Brady Breeze was one player battling for a roster spot with a nice performance.
The Cleveland Browns signed the six-foot safety this summer after being drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2021 draft.
Breeze played college football at Oregon and has spent time with the Detroit Lions, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Houston Texans.
Breeze put on a show against the Packers last Saturday, recording ten tackles, seven solo, one sack, and six run stops.

It looked like Cleveland might’ve found a borderline roster player with Breeze and could’ve found his way on the 53-man roster, but on Friday afternoon, the backup safety was hit with devastating news
Cleveland Browns Release Brady Breeze
Noah Weiskopf from the Orange and Brown report stated the Cleveland Browns released Brady Breeze with an injury designation.
Breeze had to have gotten injured against the Minnesota Vikings in joint practices this week. On Thursday afternoon, the Browns social media page posted a clip of Breeze making a play against the Vikings in practice, so the injury had to have come after that.

It stinks to see Breeze get released with an injury after such a promising start to the preseason. Hopefully, he will land on his feet when he gets healthy and can continue his NFL career.
