The Cleveland Browns hosted the Kansas City Chiefs at Huntington Bank Field for Week 15 and lost 7-21. With this loss, they are now 3-11 on the season. Unlike the passing game, the rushing attack performed well against the Chiefs, rushing for 139 yards, the most this season. Unfortunately, their star Pro Bowl running back couldn’t complete the game.
The Cleveland Browns Pro Bowler exited the second half
Browns’ star running back Nick Chubb suffered an apparent foot injury late in the third quarter after landing gingerly on his left foot. Chubb limped off the field and later went to the locker room for further examination. As a result, he did not return and finished the game with 41 rushing yards on nine carries.
He suffered another devastating injury
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media following their Week 15 loss that Nick Chubb suffered a broken foot. Chubb will soon be placed on season-ending injured reserve, which is devastating news for the Pro Bowl running back who cannot catch a break over the past two seasons. He finished 2024 with 291 rushing yards on 93 carries and three touchdowns as well as five receptions for 31 receiving yards and one touchdown in seven games.
