As previously discussed on Gridiron Heroics, Cleveland Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr.’s knee flared up ahead of their Week 11 game against the New Orleans Saints and was ruled out. Wills practiced on Tuesday and Wednesday but did not play in their Week 12 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. Finally, he did not practice during last week’s practice and missed their Week 13 contest against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, his seventh game missed this season.

The Cleveland Browns LT will not play this week
For the second consecutive week, Jedrick Wills Jr. wasn’t able to participate in their three days of practice (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). As a result, the Cleveland Browns ruled Wills out on Friday’s final injury report ahead of Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the eighth game missed. Kevin Stefanski was holding onto the possibility of his knee healing and being able to play at some point this season.
“With really any injury, every single day you’re working towards getting better and then sometimes it’s not responding how you want it to, but there’s a chance that it does,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday when asked why Wills hadn’t been placed on IR. “So that’s really where we are with it. He’s continuing to work very hard, but we’ll see where it goes.”

Since Wills is an unrestricted free agent during the 2025 offseason, this will likely be the end of his career in Cleveland. The former 10th-overall pick from the 2020 NFL Draft played 58 games and started 57 at left tackle in his five seasons, plus two starts in the playoffs as a rookie.
