Cleveland Browns Quarterback Deshaun Watson Appears to Suffer Achilles Injury

The Cleveland Browns have had a disappointing season in 2024, winning only one game out of six to start the year. Quarterback Deshaun Watson has not been able to produce as his coaches expected him to, and fans have called for him to be benched since the start of the season. It appears the fans will get what they have been wishing for, but not in the way they were expecting.

Watson appeared to suffer what is being called an Achilles injury, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. Watson suffered the injury on what looked to be a quarterback draw, and the replay shows how it looks like his Achilles popped while trying to scramble.

The veteran quarterback was carted off of the field shortly after the injury, and was seen in tears as he was taken back to the locker room. Watson has been one of the most controversial players in the league after it was revealed a few years ago that he allegedly sexually assaulted multiple women. Since then, he has not been able to play like he used to early in his career.

Watson has amounted to 17,776 passing yards and 123 touchdowns in his career, but has significantly declined in production since leaving the Houston Texans. He has not been able to get to 2,000 yards passing in each season since joining the Browns in 2022.

Do you think Watson’s season is over, or will we see him back on the field sometime this season?
