The Cleveland Browns fell to a 1-6 record today after losing to the Cincinnati Bengals in a game with emotions running high. Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a gruesome Achilles injury in the loss and was quickly ruled out for the game and likely the season. While being carted off of the field, fans booed the veteran quarterback because of his controversy, and one of Cleveland’s star players came to his defense.
Cleveland Browns Star Defends Watson

Star pass rusher Myles Garrett defended his quarterback in the post-game press conference, saying that he was disappointed that fans were being disrespectful to him.
Man does pretty much everything right. He’s been a model citizen through college and also the pros. We can’t look down on the guy because of any mistakes on the field or anything off the field. We don’t have any moral high ground to look down on the guy.

Deshaun Watson Controversy

Watson has been one of the most hated players in the entire league after it was revealed a few years ago that he allegedly sexually harassed multiple women. These allegations led to the quarterback being released by the Houston Texans, and he was then picked up by the Browns. Since joining Cleveland, he has not been able to produce like he used to.
Many fans are calling Garrett delusional, and that saying Watson being a ‘model citizen’ is a little extreme due to his past. The star is also being called a hypocrite for talking about character, with fans bringing up Garrett’s incident when he struck former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph with his helmet.
It seems Cleveland has a lot of issues to address, and that fans are over cheering for their team if they continue to support Watson.
Do you think Watson deserves the treatment he got from the fans, or is Garrett being reasonable?
