The Cleveland Browns offensive tackle room could look completely different heading into the 2025 season. Cleveland currently has two of their seven offensive tackles under contract, as the other five are free agents this offseason. However, All-Pro right tackle Jack Conklin could become a cap casualty since he has missed 21 games in the last two seasons, commands a $19.11 million cap hit, and they would free up $4.64 million by cutting him.
Highlighting one of their offensive tackles currently under contract is their versatile former fourth-round pick, who is coming off a significant injury.
The Cleveland Browns OT suffered a significant leg injury

Dawand Jones suffered a significant left leg injury in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints. Tests determined that Jones suffered a fractured fibula. As a result, the Browns placed their versatile offensive lineman, who can play both left and right tackle, on season-ending injured reserve, negatively impacting their offensive line.

However, the fibula injury was not the only injury he dealt with during the 2024-25 season.
Browns young offensive tackle underwent surgery

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Dawand Jones recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to address a lingering issue with his knee. Jones, who tore his MCL in his rookie season, started feeling discomfort in his knee following Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he did not miss any time because of it. As Fowler points out, he will be getting off crutches and will start running soon, so he should be ready by the start of training camp.
