The Cleveland Browns are just a few days away from their season opener at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. After a trip to the playoffs last season, Cleveland is looking to play meaningful football again in January, but this time, bring home some wins.
The Brown’s offseason has been filled with stadium talk, and after the season ended this past winter, reports came out that Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam bought land in the nearby city of Brook Park and could look to build a dome on the property.
If the Browns were to build a dome, it would be outside Cleveland, so the city has done everything it can to keep the team there this summer.
There has been no official announcement on whether the team will stay in Cleveland or move to nearby Brook Park. If that move did happen, it wouldn’t happen until at least 2029 because the lease on the current stadium isn’t up until 2028.
On Tuesday reports came out that the Browns are making a major announcement at the stadium at 11:00.
Cleveland Browns Making A Stadium Announcement
According to Mary Kay Cabot, the “Browns will conduct a press conference at Cleveland Browns Stadium at 11 am today to make a special announcement, but it’s not related to their decision on whether to renovate the stadium or build a dome.”

It doesn’t sound like Browns fans will be getting the answer on if the Browns will be building a new stadium at the moment but there could be news on the current stadium naming rights.
Nick Castele from Signal Cleveland stated, “The Browns are expected to announce a naming rights deal for the stadium, according to three people familiar. ”

The Browns stadium naming rights with FirstEnergy ended last year, so a business has been available to buy the naming rights to the stadium.
It makes perfect sense to announce the new naming rights just five days before the 2024 season kickoffs, and it will be interesting to see what the Cleveland Browns’ new home will be called.
