The Cleveland Browns have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. This past weekend, they learned that their starting quarterback, Deshaun Watson, will miss the rest of the season with a torn Achilles.
Watson has never lived up to the hype like he was supposed to when he got traded to the Browns two years ago, and there is a great chance he played his last game with Cleveland.
There will be many rumors this draft season that the Browns will select a quarterback, but they will need a lot of help on the offensive line and could be looking at a left tackle to replace Jedrick Wills.
A new mock draft from Athlon Sports has Cleveland improving on their offense, not taking a quarterback but building up on the offensive line.
Cleveland Browns Draft A SEC Star
Luke Easterling from Athlon Sports published a new mock draft and had the Browns selecting LSU’s Left Tackle Will Campbell with the third overall pick.
Easterling is high on the Tiger’s left tackle and had a lot of great things to say about him.
Deshaun Watson was having one of the worst seasons for a quarterback in NFL history, and now he’s out for the year with a torn Achilles. His contract will likely keep the Browns financially forced to keep him as their starter once he’s back to full strength, though, which means next year’s top pick is more likely to be spent on a new franchise left tackle to replace free-agent-to-be Jedrick Wills.
The Cleveland Browns will have many options this draft season, and they may not go wrong with whatever position they select.
Cleveland needs help in so many areas on the team, and if they decide to pass on a quarterback and take another position, the left tackle will most likely be the spot they go.
