The Cleveland Browns will open up their 2024 campaign on Sunday, September 8th, against the Dallas Cowboys, and one familiar face will not be on the field.
Last season, Brown’s star running back Nick Chubb saw his season cut short after tearing his knee against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football In Week Two.
Chubb’s knee injury was a gruesome sight a week after we saw New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers tear his Achilles on Monday Night Football.
Chubb has yet to do much football activity this offseason, and the Browns made a few moves at running back this spring, signing Nyheim Hines and D’Onta Foreman to go along with Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr., who were already on the roster.
The Cleveland Browns were preparing not to have Chubb from the start of this season, and they finally got the news on Monday morning that their star running back will not be ready for Week One.
Nick Chubb Is Expected To Stay On The PUP List
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter,” Cleveland is expected to leave Nick Chubb on the Physically Unable to Perform List, which means he is ineligible to be active during the first four games of the season, per league sources”
