Cleveland will be heading in their BYE this week, and the NFL trade deadline is also on Tuesday. A few players could have played their last snap for the team.
The Browns already traded away wide receiver Amari Cooper a few weeks ago, and now another pass catcher has been rumored to be dealt.
After the Browns’ loss on Sunday, there were rumors that tight end David Njoku could be traded this week. It is highly unlikely that will happen since he is still young and should be part of Brown’s future, but one media outlet picked a perfect landing spot for the veteran tight end.
Reed wrote, “Yes, the Browns tight end would be the perfect match for the Chargers offense. Adding the 28-year-old tight end to an offense with a blossoming Will Dissly could give Herbert a dangerous middle-of-the-field combination.”
Njoku heading to the Chargers would give Herbert another pass catcher since he is lacking a few, and knowing how Jim Harbaugh loves to run his offense, the tight end is the major part of the passing game.
It will take a lot for the Browns to move Njoku, but if they get the right deal, the star tight end may be moved by the deadline.
