Clark Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs owner, is grieving the loss of his niece Janie Hunt, along with the rest of his family. Nine-year-old Janie Hunt was one of many who died at Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp, as a result of the Texas floods. The floods hit heavily on the fourth of July, which led to the Guadalupe River swelling and flooding the summer camp, killing more than 20 people.

Clark Hunt’s daughter, Gracie Hunt, shared her condolences not only for her extended family for losing Janie Hunt, but also for all the other flood victims. Gracie also penned a thoughtful note as a faithful Christian, following in her family’s legacy as staunch church-goers. Not only Gracie Hunt, but her mother, Tavia Hunt, also shared a post for the victims of the floods.

“My heart aches for our extended family and friends who lost daughters-for every life lost and every family shattered by the floods in Texas,” Gracie Hunt wrote in her Instagram post, sharing her grief with the many families who have lost loved ones in the recent Texas floods.

According to the latest news, more than 100 people have been killed in the floods with the victims of Camp Mystic being the largest group. Clark Hunt’s niece was apparently on her very first summer camp visit with Camp Mystic before the floods took her life.

Clark Hunt’s Wife Also Shared A Post On Janie Hunt’s Passing

Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia Hunt, also shared a post for Janie Hunt and all of the Texas flood victims on her Instagram. Mrs. Hunt added a number of heart-rending sentences in her post, echoing the same faith that her own daughter, Gracie Hunt, has as a rooted Christian.

“How do we trust a God who is supposed to be good, all knowing and all powerful, but who allows such terrible things to happen – even to children? That is a sacred and tender question – and one the Bible doesn’t shy away from.” Tavia Hunt wrote in her Instagram post.

The Hunt family has been devout Christians for generations together and do not shy away from using their public platforms to talk about their faith. Tavia Hunt’s Instagram post brought out many tear-jerking comments from followers and even those who were close to victims of the Texas floods.
