The Cincinnati Bengals enter the 2025 NFL season with a chip on their shoulder. They finished with a 9-8 record last season and missed the playoffs.

Cincinnati’s defense was horrendous, but they had an elite offense last season. Quarterback Joe Burrow put up MVP numbers and was first in passing yards and passing touchdowns in the NFL. The Bengals will be considered an AFC contender because of who is under center for this football franchise.
An NFL Executive Believes That the Cincinnati Bengals are a Talented Football Team

Different NFL executives talked to Mike Sando of the Athletic about their thoughts on respective AFC teams entering the 2025 NFL season. One NFL executive said about the Bengals entering the 2025 NFL season,
“Cincinnati is really talented and arguably should be the fourth team based on offensive production, but I just don’t know that they have really gotten to a point where defensively they can match up.”
To no surprise, there is no doubt that there are questions about the Bengals defense even with Shemar Stewart and Trey Hendrickson finally with the team before the Week 1 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. There is no doubt that Cincinnati is going to be doing serious damage on offense week in and week out. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins might be the best receiving tandem in the NFL.
If this team can be just average on defense, there is a chance that Cincinnati could dethrone the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North crown. There is also a lot of pressure on head coach Zac Taylor to get wins this year or Burrow and the team won’t be happy campers also.
