The Cincinnati Bengals secondary remains a problem once again for the struggling defense. The Bengals’ passing defense ranks at the bottom in every major passing category, including total completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns allowed throughout their first ten games. They must clean up their issues with the secondary to make a deep playoff run, among other things, including inconsistent pass rush and run defense.
The Bengals worked out a former elite cornerback today.
The Cincinnati Bengals hosted a 4x Pro Bowler

As previously discussed on Gridiron Heroics, the Bengals hosted former Miami Dolphins star cornerback Xavien Howard for a visit/workout today. Howard spent the last eight seasons with the Dolphins and made it to four Pro Bowls and one First-Team All-Pro selection throughout his tenure before being released during the offseason. He does have experience with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who spent time with the Dolphins as their defensive backs coach from 2012-2017.

The former Miami Dolphins CB remains unsigned

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Cincinnati Bengals offered Xavien Howard a contract after a successful workout. However, the Bengals front office and Howard couldn’t agree to a deal. He returned home to wait for the next opportunity and remains unsigned.
