The Cincinnati Bengals host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Paycor Stadium for Week 7 of the regular season on Thursday Night Football. One key competition to monitor throughout the night is Pittsburgh’s 18th-ranked offensive line vs. Cincinnati’s 28th-ranked defensive line. However, an injury to the Bengals’ pass rush could tilt the scales in favor of the Steelers.

The Bengals begin the season with a 17-16 win over the Browns.

Trey Hendrickson suffered a back injury during the second quarter against the Green Bay Packers and did not return for the remainder of the game. The superstar pass rusher was estimated as a non-participant during the short week, prompting the Bengals to list him as questionable. Hendrickson is regarded as a tough player who has missed only two games during his five-year tenure in Cincinnati.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Trey Hendrickson is expected to miss tonight’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. As Fowler points out, the four-time Pro Bowler really wanted to play through the back injury, but because of the short turnaround, he is trending towards missing the first game of the season. Finally, Hendrickson’s days in Cincinnati could be numbered due to recent trade rumors.

Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson (questionable, back) is expected to be out tonight vs. Steelers, per source. Wanted to play but tough on short turnaround, hopeful for next week.

Cincinnati Bengals first-round draft pick Shemar Stewart speaks during a press conference, Friday, April 25, 2025, at Paycor Stadium in Downtown Cincinnati.

Shemar Stewart has missed the previous four games with an ankle injury sustained in Week 2. The first-round pick was estimated as a full participant during the short week. Stewart did not carry an official injury designation for Thursday Night Football, suggesting he is good to go.
