The Cincinnati Bengals were one of the two teams to have the same starting five offensive line start each game last season. Through the first three games of the 2024 season, the Bengals have had the same starting five offensive line. Unfortunately, that streak will end because their starter sustained a significant injury in last night’s matchup against the Washington Commanders.
The Cincinnati Bengals free-agent signing suffered a knee injury in Week 3

Right tackle Trent Brown suffered an apparent knee injury in the second quarter when his knee buckled inward while in pass protection. The medical staff carted him off the field, as Amarius Mims had to assist Brown onto the cart due to his 6-foot-8, 380-pound stature. Zac Taylor told reporters after the game that “it doesn’t look good.”
The Cincinnati Bengals tackle will miss the rest of the season

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Trent Brown suffered a torn patellar tendon and will undergo surgery. The Bengals will soon place him on injured reserve, and he will miss the rest of the season. Thankfully, Brown is expected to make a full recovery.

Who starts at RT?

Rookie 18th-overall pick Amarius Mims will start at right tackle for the rest of the season. Mims had a good shot of starting over Trent Brown in training camp but suffered a strained pectoral in their preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As a result, he missed the rest of training camp and their first two regular season games. He entered Week 3 without an injury diagnosis. He played their final 39 snaps and allowed two pressures, one hurry, and one sack, per PFF.
