The Cincinnati Bengals sign a defender
The Cincinnati Bengals are heading into the free agency period in good shape. The Bengals have nearly $35 million in cap space, and the roster already has most of its key players secure for next season. The Bengals went ahead and signed a linebacker before the free agency period next week.
According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Bengals signed linebacker Joe Bachie to a one-year deal in 2023.

Bachie was an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State, initially signed by the New Orleans Saints in 2020. He spent time with Philadelphia Eagles before the Bengals signed him in 2021. Bachie earned a 78.4 overall grade from Pro Football Focus for his limited play last season. He earned one stop and one solo tackle in 2022. Bachie played in 14 total defensive snaps for the Bengals last season. We’ll see if he earns more playing time for the 2023 season.
