The Cincinnati Bengals ensured that one of Joe Burrow’s emerging favorite targets, and perhaps the chief beneficiary of the attention paid to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, isn’t going anywhere, by re-signing tight end Mike Gesicki.
Gesicki, 29, returns to the Bengals on a three-year deal worth $25.5 million, on the heels of a strong first season in Burrow’s supporting cast.
“There’s so many different guys that were in the back of my mind as I’m thinking about, you know, do I test the market? You hear about your value and all that kind of stuff and what it could be, and at that point, it’s just like, this is what I want,” Gesicki said. “I wanted to go to Cincinnati, and I wanted to be in an offense that allowed me to reach my potential, and I think that this place gives me everything I’m looking for.”

The 6-foot-6 and 250-pound former Penn State standout caught 65 passes for 665 yards and a pair of touchdowns last season, but seemed to forge a strong bond with Burrow, along the way.
If the Bengals are able to keep Higgins, and Chase this offseason, Cincinnati has the chance to take major strides in 2025 thanks to another year of continuity with their star quarterback and his top weapons remaining in the fold.
