The Cincinnati Bengals are taking on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs for the sixth time in just three years.
After a rough start to the 2024 season with a disappointing loss to the New England Patriots, a team many thought to be at the bottom of the NFL, the Bengals are looking to bounce back against a dynasty that has won three of the last five Super Bowls.
The Cincinnati Bengals are the butt of the joke after their poor week-one performance
The ESPN show NFL LIve’s crew, featuring former NFL players like Dan Orlovsky, Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears, was tasked with picking the winner for the upcoming Chiefs-Bengals week two matchup.
The former players, along with host Laura Rutledge and analyst Mina Kimes, all selected the Chiefs to beat the Bengals for the third time in three years.
The graphics department of NFL Live pranked the on-air crew by showing that they all selected the Bengals instead of the Chiefs. The on-air crew was seemingly horrified by the notion that they would select the Bengals over the Chiefs.
The idea that Cincinnati could go into Arrowhead and beat the Chiefs was so laughably outlandish that picking them to win could only be a joke that results in uproarious laughter.

Bengals fans lamented the prank as it reminded them of the Bengals teams that occupied the not-so-distant past. Cincinnati had one of the longest playoff-win droughts in the entire league before quarterback Joe Burrow led them to a win over the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021.
The Bengals were notorious AFC bottom-feeders for decades. If they managed to scrounge their way into the playoffs, they always managed to mess it up somehow. Those days seemed to be behind Bengals fans after Burrow led them to a Super Bowl appearance, but a disappointing 2023 season and an abysmal showing in week one has Bengals fans looking down over the ledge of inadequacy.
Back to the Bungles, I guess
