In the weeks leading up to the beginning of the 2024 regular season, star Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been at the forefront of Bengals news due to his contract “hold in.”
While Chase continues to draw the eyes of the NFL world as the Bengals week one matchup with the New England Patriots inches closer, it is fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins that is causing concern for Bengals faithful.
Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins missed practice
Higgins, who hasn’t been a source of concern for the Bengals since he signed his tender in June, has been thrust into the limelight due to a hamstring injury.
Higgins was suddenly limited in practice Thursday, but when he addressed the media he said that he feels “amazing.”

This glowing review of his own health and how he feels heading into week one contributed to the shock of Bengals fans when it was revealed that Higgins was completely out of practice Friday.
While the Bengals could be playing it safe as they head into week one to take on an opponent that they are favored to beat by more than a touchdown, sitting out practice this close to a game is cause for concern for many Bengals fans.
Higgins’ hamstring issue means that he has dealt with some sort of hamstring injury to some degree in every single season since 2019. Higgins’ injury concerns played a large role in the Bengals refusing to give him anything more than a franchise tag to play on in 2024.
When Higgins and Chase are on the field together they are nearly unstoppable, but Higgins has missed significant time far too often for the Bengals front office to pay him and Chase top-tier wide receiver money.
