The Cincinnati Bengals won an overtime thriller yesterday, defeating the Denver Broncos 30-24, to stay alive in the AFC Playoff Picture. However, Cincinnati still needs help clinching a playoff berth, and a win next week doesn’t do the trick. The Bengals need the Indianapolis Colts and the Miami Dolphins to lose or tie one of their two remaining games, and the Broncos must lose in Week 18.
The Cincinnati Bengals’ star running back suffered an injury late in the fourth quarter
Bengals’ star running back Chase Brown suffered an ankle injury late in the fourth quarter after his right leg bent under him as he slid by giving himself up at the one-year line instead of walking in for a touchdown. Brown eventually limped off the field and did not return for the remainder of the game, and the Bengals quickly ruled him out. He finished the night with 67 rushing yards on 20 carries and four receptions for 24 yards.
Bengals’ star running back’s injury diagnosis revealed
According to Jordan Schultz, Chase Brown underwent an MRI earlier today, which determined that he suffered a high ankle sprain. As Schultz points out, Brown is determined to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their regular season finale. However, the week of practice and how he’s feeling will ultimately determine his availability.
