The Cincinnati Bengals’ month-long break is nearing an end. Rookies reported to training camp on Saturday, July 19, while veterans report on Tuesday, July 22, at Kettering Health Practice Fields in Cincinnati, Ohio. One area of defense to keep an eye on is the new and improved defensive tackle position, which aims to be more disruptive in stopping the run and rushing the passer in 2025.
All eyes were on whether their star player recovered from his offseason injury.
Cincinnati Bengals’ star DT nursing a foot injury

B.J. Hill suffered a minor foot injury during the spring and was spotted wearing a walking boot around his left leg in May. As a result, he did not participate in voluntary OTAs and mandatory minicamp. Many fans were concerned about his foot injury, given his importance, and whether he would be ready for the start of training camp.

Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive star gets major update

During Monday’s press conference, Zac Taylor provided a positive injury update on B.J. Hill, via Mike Petraglia. The star defensive tackle has been cleared to practice for training camp, and the Bengals will not place him on the PUP list. However, as Petraglia points out, Hill will be on load management to start camp as he continues to work his way back.
