Christian Wilkins, former Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle, has been in the news over the last few days for all the wrong reasons. According to some sources, Wilkins has been released from the team after he kissed a teammate on the forehead in the locker room. The unnamed teammate complained, which led the team to make the decision to release Wilkins after just one season with the Raiders.

Still, other sources report that Christian Wilkins and the Las Vegas Raiders have butted heads over the rehabilitation protocol of his Jones fracture. Wilkins was advised to undergo surgery for the same which the defensive tackle was definitely not ready to do. Las Vegas Raiders head coach, Pete Carroll, was asked about the reasons for Wilkins’ release lately, to which the veteran coach did not have much to say and instead responded pretty diplomatically.
“Really I don’t. I have no comment to make. We made a decision on what we’re doing and we’re moving with it. We’ll see how that all unveils itself over time.” Pete Carroll spoke about Christian Wilkins’ release from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Pete Carroll didn’t have a comment on the Christian Wilkins ‘playful kiss’ situation.

The report that Christian Wilkins was actually released by the Las Vegas Raiders because of a kissing incident in the locker room was initially dispersed by renowned sports journalist Adam Schefter in an episode of the ‘Pat McAfee Show’. Schefter claimed that an insider source told him about the incident but gave no actual credible details of the story. For these remarks, Schefter was called out by many other reporters, including ProFootballTalk owner, Mike Florio.
Christian Wilkins’ Former Teammate Hints That He Needs Therapy
In other news, Christian Wilkins’ alleged kissing incident with one of his teammates in the locker room seems to have touched a nerve with another Raiders player. Recently, Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Adam Butler, took to his X account to share a cryptic tweet that might actually be referring to Wilkins.
“Sometimes we make decisions that we shouldn’t. And I would advise those people to see therapy. Talk to somebody. That’s really all I got to say.” Adam Butler tweeted from his X account.

While Adam Butler did not exactly give out a name, many fans feel that the tweet was directed toward Christian Wilkins. The rumor is that Wilkins tried to playfully kiss another teammate which was not well-accepted. Still, there is no proper confirmation by the team or by Wilkins as to what led to his release from the team.
