Christian McCaffrey recently reacted to the news of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley making it to the Madden 26 cover. EA Sports announced some time back that the talented running back will be the poster boy for their 2026 edition, and both the Eagles and Barkley himself could not be more delighted with the news. McCaffrey, who made the cover in the previous year, showed his pride in another NFL running back managing the achievement.

McCaffrey was not the only one who showed their pride and delight with Barkley making it to the cover of Madden. A steakhouse in Philadelphia ‘Geno’s Steaks’ renamed themselves as ‘Steakquon’s’ for the week to celebrate Barkley making it to the cover of Madden.

“Saquon, Congrats, man. Madden 26 for number 26. It’s my honor to be passing down the Madden cover to you, keeping it within the running back family. We got to keep it that way. So fired up for you man, you’ve been pushing the standard since college, and to see all your success is no shock to me. So congrats man, enjoy it and hope to see you soon.” Christian McCaffrey reacted to Saquon Barkley making it to the cover of Madden 26.

Christian McCaffrey has been playing for the San Francisco 49ers since 2022 after moving from the Carolina Panthers. McCaffrey was selected as the eighth pick in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft. Before making it to the league, the running back played college football for the Stanford Cardinal.

Christian McCaffrey’s Return Gives San Francisco 49ers Chance Of Winning Super Bowl

In other news, Christian McCaffrey’s return to play with the San Francisco 49ers apparently gives the San Francisco 49ers more chances of winning the Super Bowl according to sports reporter Kay Adams.

McCaffrey was injured for the majority of the previous NFL season and has been cleared recently as completely fit and ready to play. In fact, 49ers representatives feel that the player is “explosive” after he has been fully rehabilitated, which led to Adams’ optimism about his role in the team.

McCaffrey and the rest of the San Francisco 49ers will be opening their season with a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1. Before taking on the Seahawks, the team will be stretching with three preseason games against the Denver Broncos, the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers.
