Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers running back, recently brought out a major reaction from none other than Nick Wright, who commented on the player’s performance. It is common knowledge that McCaffrey has had his share of injuries over the past few years, and this was pointed out by Wright in an episode of ‘First Things First’ when he was talking about the 49ers’ chances in the upcoming NFL season.

In the 2024 NFL, the running back struggled with injuries while he was in training camp with the 49ers. Later on, the medical team revealed that McCaffrey had Achilles tendonitis on both sides. In week 13, McCaffrey injured his right knee which eventually led to him being sidelined for the rest of the season. This hurt San Francisco’s chances of making it anywhere near the playoffs badly.

“Christian McCaffrey is a perpetually injured awesome player. That’s who he is. He’s now only older and only more wear and tear on the body after last year. The odd injury stuff.” Nick Wright spoke about Christian McCaffrey in a recent episode of ‘First Things First’.

Christian McCaffrey has been cleared to play in the upcoming 2025 NFL season and will be seen in action right from the very first week. According to a recent interview given by McCaffrey’s father, Ed McCaffrey, the running back overtrained during the training camps last year, which led to his injuries. Hopefully, McCaffrey is taking it slow and steady this offseason to ensure a long and healthy NFL career.

Christian McCaffrey Welcomes Baby Girl With Wife Olivia

Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey has even more reason to play well in the upcoming football season now that he’s a father to a baby girl. McCaffrey’s wife, Olivia Culpo, shared several pictures on her Instagram and even announced the name of their daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey.

Culpo, being the ever-aesthetic mommy, shared several monochrome pictures of her time in the hospital, including a couple of shots of McCaffrey supporting her while she gave birth. She also shared a picture of baby Colette’s cute little arm as she lay on the white fuzzy blanket.

Christian McCaffrey’s wife, Olivia Culpo, has been constantly sharing updates of her pregnancy over the last few months. In an interview sometime back, Culpo also admitted that McCaffrey is made to be a father and cannot wait to start parenting. McCaffrey will be playing with even more responsibility on his shoulders as the 49ers kick off their 2025 campaign with a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1.
