Chris Jackson WR from California announced that he is returning to BYU this fall. After signing a NIL deal with CougConnect. Jackson posted on Twitter “PSA.. I’ve decided to stay at BYU for the 2022 football season and with that being said I am looking forward to do more NIL deals with my favorite NIL company CougConnect”.
Jackson announced on January 5th on Twitter that he was entering the transfer portal. “First, I would like to thank all the BYU coaching staff and fans. BYU will always have a place in my heart, but unfortunately, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal due to personal reasons. I also would like to thank my teammates y’all will always be my brothers.”
Playing WR in 2020 and 2021 for the cougs. In 2020 he played in 8 games. Jackson had 6 receptions for 22 yards and zero touchdowns. He had 9 rushing attempts for43 yards and zero touchdowns. In the 2021 season, he played in 13 games. Jackson had 4 receptions for 39 yards and zero touchdowns. He also had 3 rushing attempts for 12 yards and zero touchdowns.
With Jackson’s return to BYU, he brings his talent to the rest of the wide receivers at BYU. Jackson joins Gunner Romney, Kody Epps, Puka Nacua, Chase Roberts, Keanu Hill, and Brayden Cosper. This wide receiver core is going to be hard for defenses to stop let alone get on the ground.
