Chiefs vs Broncos should be an exciting and physical game for football fans. Sunday’s game is a battle within the division and both teams know each other well. Chiefs vs Broncos football comes at an interesting time.  The regular season is winding down and both teams are trying to make a playoff push. The Chiefs enter the game with a 9-3 record. Kansas City sits atop the AFC West and look to bounce back from their loss to the Bengals. The Broncos are 3-9 and are in last place in the AFC West. Denver recently lost a close game to the Ravens and want to finish the season strong.  Chiefs vs Broncos will be a battle between offense and defense.

The Chiefs lead the series 69-54. Past games have been tough and came down to the wire.  Chiefs vs Broncos will be a battle between offense and defense. I expect the same this Sunday.

Denver has struggled to win games this season. However, Denver has an opportunity to beat the Chiefs at home. Denver will have to rely on its defense to slow down the Chief’s electric offense. The Bronco’s defense is allowing 17 points per game and 323 yards per game. Denver’s defense has been dominant and only gave up 10 points against the Ravens.  The Bronco’s defense will have to bring their a-game to stop Andy Reid’s creative offense.

Denver’s offense hasn’t been great. Russell Wilson has passed for 2,558 yards, thrown 8 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. The offense has struggled to move the ball and stay on the field. Denver’s offense has to take advantage of the Chief’s average defense. Kansas City’s defense is allowing 22.5 points per game and 364 yards per game. Teams have had success attacking the Chief’s defense. Denver has to find a way to score points and keep Patrick Mahomes on the sideline.

As mentioned above Kansas City has an electric offense. Kansas City’s offense is averaging 29 points per game and 434 yards per game. Patrick Mahomes has been on fire this season. Mahomes has passed for 3,808 yards, thrown 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Sunday’s game will challenge the Chief’s offense. The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Head coach Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and Offensive Coordinator Eric Bienemy have to draw up plays to attack Denver’s defense.  Denver’s secondary will eliminate explosive plays. If the Chief’s offense can stay patient and have a balanced attack they can win the game.

Kansas City’s defense has been average this season. The Chief’s defense is allowing 22 points per game and 364 yards per game. Defensively the Chiefs have to stay disciplined. Kansas City’s defense has given up explosive plays and been out of position. If the defense can stay disciplined they can win the AFC West battle.
