Chiefs Fans Turn On Patrick Mahomes After “Disgusting” Post-Game Remark

The Kansas City Chiefs kept their perfect season alive on Sunday by defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 17-10.  Patrick Mahomes went 19-29, 245 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception.  The Chiefs lost Rashee Rice for possibly and extended period of time.  He is feared to have torn his ACL on a throw from Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes’ post game comments didn’t sit well with some fans.

According to Lou Flavius of Total Pro Sports:

Rice was quickly ruled out of the game, and it’s feared that he could be out for the season, having come into Week 4 as the player with the most receiving yards in the NFL.

Mahomes spoke about the incident after the Chiefs’ fourth straight win on Sunday night and expressed hope for the best.

“I didn’t know exactly what happened because, obviously, I was trying to make the tackle,” he told reporters. “But I know Rashee and how tough he is, so him being down like that, I knew it wasn’t good. So all we do is pray that the x-rays and MRIs and stuff like that are better than what it looked.

“But next man up until he’s back.”

Fans didn’t particularly like the “next man up” comment:
