The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a massive contract just days before the 2025 training camp starts. A massive four-year deal has been agreed upon that will solidify one of their most important positions for the foreseeable future.
Breaking: Chiefs Agree To Massive 4-Year, $93 Million Contract (Report)

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Chiefs and 2022 first-round pick George Karlaftis reached agreement today on a four-year $93 million contract extension that includes $62 million guaranteed, per his agency the WINSportsGroup.
Karlaftis posted 24.5 sacks during his first three seasons in Kansas City – and now will continue as a focal point of the Chiefs’ defense.

The Bleacher Report recently recognized Kansas City Chiefs DE George Karlaftis as a top 2025 prospect:
“After a 10.5-sack campaign in 2023, Karlaftis saw a slight drop-off in sack total with eight in the previous year,” wrote Moe Morton, “but he maintained an active presence in the pass rush, logging a career-high 37 pressures, Karlaftis isn’t generating the same amount of buzz as fellow 2022 first-rounders Travon Walker and Aidan Hutchinson in terms of extension talks. That said, he’s taken some attention away from Jones as an effective three-down defender who can get to the quarterback and stop runs behind the line of scrimmage.”
Karlaftis and the other 31 players selected fit the same criteria. Each player hasn’t made an All-Pro or Pro Bowl team, and they’re all on rookie deals.
The former Purdue standout led the Chiefs with eight sacks and 61 pressures last season. Since his first season in 2022, Katlaftis has had 32.5 sacks, including the postseason, and 208 pressures.
