Chiefs Fans Livid With Travis Kelce For Starring In New Movie Amidst Terrible Start To Season

The story for the past however many months has been Taylor Swift x Travis Kelce doing x and y.

And the Kansas City Chiefs (for the most part) have embraced the support of the world’s biggest pop star in the process of being delivered yet another championship winning year.

Kelce, who had a good but – by his standards- below average regular season, popped off in the playoffs to the tune of 355 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in their 4 postseason bouts.

Travis Kelce Not Starting The Season Well At All

Now, in 2024, Travis does not look like the same man. Despite the Chiefs’ strong 3-0, defeating 3 likely playoff contenders in the Ravens, Bengals and Falcons; the Cincinnati alum has been a shadow of his former self, collating just 69 yards and no TDs in their first 3 games.

Some may say – not me of course – but some would argue that with perhaps only a couple of years left of his footballing career and a desire to keep winning and pursue further championships, the 9 x Pro Bowler should be focused on football in the offseason break, rather than extracurricular endeavours,

But what do they know? And as it turns out, Kelce was involved in a movie called “Grotesquerie” in the offseason break. Since he was filming and not practicing – and is now playing poorly, Chiefs fans are not the happiest bunch.

Chiefs Fans Annoyed Over Kelce Movie Role

If you wondering why Kelce sucks now it’s because he started his acting career already. I figured action bad guy but it’s actually serial killer bad guy. Grotesquiery is the movie

Why the fuck is Travis Kelce in Grotesquerie?? Almost makes me not want to even watch it! 😓

    — Logan Mitchell (@Cat_Daddy1993) September 26, 2024

No wonder Travis Kelce has been ass. Dude spent his offseason filming horror movies, commercials, and going to concerts.

It’s ironic that Travis Kelce is on a show called “Grotesquerie,” when you consider his fantasy stats are so grotesque this season. pic.twitter.com/BWqYCWLBuW

Realistically, is this an overreaction from Kansas City fans? Probably. Kelce did not become a mid range tight end 6 months after being a world beater because he filmed one small part in a movie. More likely, as he is getting older, he is slower to start the season and may well be leaving much in the tank in order to prime himself what is yet another likely playoff run.

And the Chiefs are winning without him being on 100% top form, it should be noted. Yet, is it also understandable to be frustrated at a drastically underperforming player that perhaps was not fully focused on his sport in the offseason? Perhaps. Particularly Kelce fantasy owners (not me) – these are the real losers here, sadly.
