Jonathan Owens proved to be a key piece in a Chicago Bears’ Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans. This led Simone Biles, the safety’s wife, to share her reaction during a certain play. In response, he posted his thoughts on the Olympian’s near heart attack moment.
In a thrilling season opener, the Bears overcame a rocky start to defeat the Titans with a score of 24-17, thanks in large part to their defense. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams had a challenging debut, but a pivotal 43-yard interception return for a touchdown by Tyrique Stevenson shifted the momentum in the Bears’ favor.
The Titans initially dominated, building a 17-0 lead before their opponents rallied back. Williams struggled with his accuracy, completing only 14 of 29 passes for 93 yards. However, his team showed resilience, scoring 24 unanswered points after a sluggish first half.
A crucial play came when Daniel Hardy blocked a Titans punt, leading to a 21-yard touchdown return by Owens, which brought the Bears within striking distance. Cairo Santos’ field goals kept Chicago in the game before Stevenson’s interception put them ahead in the fourth quarter.

While the game was ongoing, Biles posted her thoughts about Owens‘ key play and said she almost had a heart attack. In an article by Paolo Songco for Athlon Sports, the Bears safety reacted to his wife’s post.
“Simone’s mid-game revelation drew a heartfelt reaction from Owens after the win.
“Love my baby man 😂❤️” he posted on Instagram,” Songco wrote.
Following his touchdown, the safety felt a sense of pride and joy, reflecting on how Biles’ achievements inspire him. He noted the support from his teammates and how their success fuels his passion for the game, highlighting the importance of family and motivation in his career.
Despite their respective schedules, both Biles and Owens have made it a point to support each other in their endeavors. With the Bears getting a big Week 1 win, expect the Olympian gold medalist to be around more for her husband’s games.
