Jay Cutler was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday, October 17, 2024, after a minor car accident in Franklin, Tennessee. Labeled by authorities as Jay Cutler, 41, Cutler had rear-ended another vehicle just after 5 p.m. Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol upon arrival, they said he had bloodshot eyes, slurred words, and appeared intoxicated. Police got a blood sample from a local hospital after Cutler refused to take a field sobriety test.

Jay Cutler’s Charges Keep Stacking Up
Cutler faces other charges along with the DUI. Adding to the charges was also possession of firearms while intoxicated. Two guns were found in his car after police searched it, including a loaded pistol. A failure to exercise due care and a violation of the implied consent law. This law requires all drivers to submit to chemical tests for alcohol if asked by officers. Cutler posted a $5,000 bond and was released later that night.
As the multiple charges stack up, the former Pro Bowler faces major legal challenges. Retired Cutler has stuck around in the public’s eyes by popping up on reality TV with his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari and his “Uncut with Jay Cutler” podcast.
We don’t yet know the details of his next steps, but the consequences of these charges should not be taken lightly. Jay Cutler has three children with Cavallari: two boys, Camden, 11, and Jaxon, 9, and a daughter Saylor, 8. Everyone—fans and media outlets alike—is waiting to see what will come of this situation.
