Chiefs in command , hang on 27-24 to push to 2-0

In a game where everything was supposed to be a display of fireworks and energizing chaos, the first half provided everything but that. Where it’ll be most necessary to talk about the second half where the energy and atmosphere kicked up

    First half

The  first quarter consisted of only a field goal for the Chargers . 2 quick TD  passes early in the second led the Chargers  into halftime with a 10-7 lead. Not much to talk about in the first half as this is rather a summary

        2ND Half Chaos.

The ability a halftime speech, a breather, a mental break whatever you wanna call it. The most powerful position in football is halftime as crazy as that may sound the power halftime can have on players can be both positive and negative and is vital for both teams. The Chargers  came out in the second half with the same energy they had in the first. Mike Williams was able to get open on the opening drive for a 15yd touchdown pass that put the chargers up by 10. (17-7)

Mike Williams had a gem last night finishing with 8 Rec 113 yds and a TD. He did a great job taking extra weight on his shoulder after the Chargers chose to sit Keenan Allen on a short week where he most likely would have started had they been scheduled on Sunday.

The Cheifs  have and always will be one of those teams that can strike hard and fast at any moment’s notice. Despite losing cheetah Tyreke Hill  in the offseason the Cheifs  haven’t had much problem moving around their receiving core particularly when you have the prodigy of the future lacing up at quarterback it’s a little easier. This strike came on the chief’s drive striking Justin Watson for a 41 yd

TD pass cut the game to 17-14. An early FG in the 4th quarter nodded things up at 17 with 15(minutes)to go. The Chargers  were just 2yds away from taking a 23 -17 lead 24-17 presuming extra point success when Herbert threw a pass to tight end Gerald Everett Cheifs  defender Jaylen Watson jumped right in front of it intercepted it dodged a defender and had free turf and a green light taking it back for 99 yd pick six. If there’s any way to make your name in the Nfl not only is it on prime time but it’s a game-altering play with the such magnitude it has the impact that it did.

    Thursday night Smackdown

As a side note on the drive before the Cheifs  nodded things up at 17 Kelce  caught a solid catch and was leveled by safety Derwin  James who picked kelce up and body slammed him, although Smackdown  is tonight Derwin James’ Triple H impression is not too bad. Kelce wasn’t much of a factor last night just 5 rec for 51 yds

    Final frame

    Down goes Herbert

With 5 minutes left Herbert took a nasty sack and layed on the field for a few minutes, he went to the sideline still in pain.

Chargers Quaterback Justin Herbert lies hurt after taking a nasty sack late game

Although both quarterbacks played fairly well I could have counted endless times where I watched an opportunity for 4-5 dropped interceptions on both defenses. The 4th quarterback remained in a relative stalemate until the final 180 seconds. They extended their lead to 10 (27-17) with a 31yd ft.

On what was likely to be the charger’s final drive Justin Herbert laced onto the field he converted on a 4th down where he could have easily walked it through. Herbert was still in pain through this drive but fought like a warrior. Somehow someway Herbert took the chargers down the field hitting Joshua Palmer for a 7 yd TD pass to make the game 27-24. Unfortunately, they had to rely on an onside kick which was recovered by KC who took a knee and iced the game. What started as a semi-snoozer resulted in an eventful 4th quarter. Herbert sustained fractured ribs announced today and is viewed as day to day. He will most likely be limited in practice but it isn’t viewed but coaches and doctors as anything serious. Expect him to be ready by next week.
