The Los Angeles Chargers will look to start the Jim Harbaugh era with a win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Los Angeles had an active off-season as they move on from multiple key players and brought in a new coaching staff.
However, Los Angeles will officially be without one playmaker in their season opener.

Chargers placed WR DJ Chark Jr. on injured reserve and signed TE Eric Tomlinson to their. active roster.
In May, the Chargers signed Chark, adding a seasoned receiver to their inexperienced receiving group. Chark is the only Chargers receiver to eclipse 1,000 yards in a season. However, that came with Jacksonville in 2019.
The Chargers’ Chark emerged as an effective target during training camp and is expected to start alongside Joshua Palmer when he gets back on the field. The team will likely turn to last year’s first-round pick, Quentin Johnston, and rookie Ladd McConkey without Chark.
Chark has struggled with injuries lately. He has played 54 of 82 games in the past five seasons. Chark, 27, was drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2018 draft. He has 212 receptions for 3,069 yards and 23 touchdowns in his career.
