Instead, BYU sits at the top and is one of just a handful of unbeaten teams. The Cougars have defeated multiple top 25 teams this season on their way to 8-0 and a #9 ranking. Some college football personalities have even gone so far as to blame brand bias. Disgruntled fans took to X to share their opinions:

BYU plays Utah in this year’s Holy War. This is a potential trap game due to the hatred between these two rivals, fueled by recent NSFW comments by Utah’s running back. If BYU can win this game they’ll be one step closer to a playoff bye and a bump in the rankings.
