WHO LET THE BEARS OUT!?
Baylor University continues to produce talent the NFL can appreciate. The preseason is finally underway and this is when some our favorite college players make their money. These Baylor Bears made some key plays Week 1 to improve their chances of making a 53 man roster.
Trestan Ebner
Trestan Ebner played just like how most Bears fans expected. Promising. I’m talking Baylor as well as Chicago. Tristan was very productive as a passing threat in college and that is exactly where he made some money touching pay dirt.
During the first week of the NFL preseason, Treston took a check down pass from back up QB Trevor Siemian into the end zone against the Kansas City Chiefs. On 3rd and 9 near the redzone, the Bears needed that play.
The Baylor product also had a 27 yard scamper to put Chicago into scoring territory. Chicago may of squeaked by with a win but the Bears running back room is seemingly a strength for the offense. Bears resume their preseason against the Seattle Seahawks, Thursday Aug. 18.
Terrel Bernard
The Buffalo Bills rookie linebacker took advantage of a Boogie Basham force fumble on Indianapolis Colts QB Nick Foles. An opportunity Terrel Bernard could not pass up especially during the preseason opener. Bernard then picked up the loose fumble in stride into the end zone unscathed 69 yards!
An impressive outing for the Bills defense as far as back ups go. The Bills won by three, 27-24 against the Colts. This Baylor Bear was taken in the 3rd round round of the 2022 NFL Draft. As the preseason unravels, Buffalos D may have a hidden gem that could very well steal snaps or even start games this upcoming regular season.
Bills take on the Denver Broncos, Aug. 20 Saturday.
Keep an eye on this guy, Bills Mafia.
