The Carolina Panthers can win in a weak division
The NFC South is probably one of the most open divisions in the NFL in 2023. All four teams will likely have a quarterback starting their first entire season with their new club. The Carolina Panthers are looking for a fresh start with first-year head coach Frank Reich. One of his players is eager to make the playoffs.
According to Brooke Cersosimo with NFL.com, safety Jeremy Chinn thinks the Panthers can win the division next season:
“We have an opportunity in this division. It’s wide open,” said Chinn, whose Panthers haven’t made the postseason since 2017. “It was open last year and we missed our mark, but I feel like we have the pieces to make it happen.
“It does fuel us but at the same time, we want to win regardless of what happened last year. That’s the energy around this team and it starts at the top. We see the mentality coming into the season. We want to win now.”
The team will have a chance to win the NFC South, but it will be a tall order. The Panthers, who own the number one overall pick, should have a rookie quarterback playing much of the 2023 season.
