The Carolina Panthers were very active in free agency with one of the signings being running back Miles Sanders. After appearing in the Super Bowl last year with the Philadelphia Eagles, Sanders is hungry for more. In a recent interview, he made it clear that he came to Carolina to win.

The Panthers have been very busy in the offseason. They brought in a new head coach Frank Reich and overhauled the defensive staff. They added some key veterans like Sanders and Adam Theilen and already have stars on defense like Brian Burns. Sanders talked about the desire to get back to the Super Bowl.

“It’s addicting; you get there once, and you want to go there every year,” Sanders said. “I know what it takes. And the stuff we that we did last year, everything worked on all type of levels. Even in the building. Just everybody working to a certain extent and everything just clicking. I know how that vibe feels. I know how a Super Bowl team feels at this point, just chemistry, working together, and literally invested into every single day. Taking no days off, and it’s addicting. It’s an addicting feeling. And hopefully, we can get to that point and create a championship team over here.”

Another huge move the Panthers made was trading for the number one overall pick. Their success depends on the development of their rookie quarterback.

    Who Will Be The Quarterback?

Sanders also had some thoughts on the number one overall pick as well.

“Whoever we get, hopefully, it’s the best guy in the draft,” Sanders replied when asked about Carolina’s number one pick. “And hopefully whoever comes here just knows it’s time to work and we’re not rebuilding nothing over here. We trying to get straight to it.”

The infrastructure is there for a rookie quarterback to succeed. A combination of veterans and young talent bodes well for a rookie. The Panthers are also in a weaker conference and division and could easily make the playoffs while going through some growing pains.

The Carolina Panthers have to feel good about the direction of their franchise. They have made some big swings and hopefully, they pan out. It is still a mystery who they will pick but that player will have high expectations according to Sanders.
