Bryce Young’s Potential Landing Spot if Carolina Panthers Trade Him, Revealed

Even though he was benched by the Carolina Panthers recently, there’s still a lot Bryce Young can offer on the field. As it stands, he can get a better situation to play in if the Miami Dolphins make a move to acquire him.

Young, the 2023 first overall pick, has faced significant challenges in his rookie season with the Panthers, leading to his recent benching. After a difficult start, including a 2-15 record last season, the Panthers brought in head coach Dave Canales, hoping to revitalize the team and support Young’s development with fresh talent.

However, following two losses this season, Canales opted to start veteran Andy Dalton, who subsequently led the Panthers to their first victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. Young’s performance prior to the benching has raised concerns about his future in Carolina.

Despite the team’s public stance of wanting to keep him, interest from other franchises is reportedly growing, with teams like the Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans potentially looking to trade for the young quarterback. The question remains whether a fresh start might be beneficial for Young, considering the tumultuous environment he’s experienced.

NFL Analysis Names Miami Dolphins as Potential Landing Spot for Carolina Panthers’ Bryce Young

At this point of the season, Young could use a change of scenery to jumpstart his career. According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the quarterback could do well if the Miami Dolphins acquire him.

Young is making only $915,000 in salary this year, but an acquiring team would take on a fully guaranteed $10.13 million in salary over the next two seasons, which could be an impediment. That’s also true for the $12.3 million in dead money the Panthers would incur with a deal — and that assumes they wouldn’t have to pay any of the salary to move him. But again, it’s a tough situation to predict.

Potential landing spot: Miami Dolphins. It’s difficult to predict Tua Tagovailoa’s future in the wake of his third diagnosed concussion. But there is uncertainty in the short term and long term. Coach Mike McDaniel could potentially view Young as a player who could thrive in his quick-release offense. Don’t sleep on the Jets, Rams and Seahawks if Young were available.

Young’s future with the Panthers has become uncertain after being benched in favor of Dalton, who recently led the team to victory against the Raiders. As rumors swirl about potential trades, the Dolphins have emerged as a viable destination, especially given their struggles at quarterback.

While some view the benching as a temporary strategy for Young’s development, the Panthers are hesitant to trade him without favorable conditions. A move to Miami could revitalize Young’s career, but the Panthers are unlikely to let him go easily.
