The Carolina Panthers hire a Colts’ assistant
New Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich is quickly piecing together a new staff. The Panthers recently hired Jim Caldwell as their senior assistant and Duce Staley as their running backs coach. The Panthers made a big splash by hiring Ejiro Evero as their defensive coordinator. Now the Panthers have found their passing game coordinator.
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Parks Frazier will be the Panthers’ next passing game coordinator. Frazier had worked with Reich in Indianapolis since the 2018 season. He started as an assistant to the head coach and worked his way to being the interim offensive coordinator.
The #Panthers are hiring former #Colts play-caller Parks Frazier as their new passing game coordinator, source says. Close with Frank Reich, Frazier impressed in a tough spot in Indy. Now, he heads to Carolina to be with its new head coach.

Per the report, Frazier impressed Reich with what he had to deal with as a member of the Colts’ offensive staff after Andrew Luck left in 2018. Frazier was the assistant quarterbacks coach the previous two seasons when they had Carson Wentz, and a washed Matt Ryan. Unfortunately for Frazier, the upcoming future at quarterback for the Carolina Panthers isn’t too promising.
