Success has been hard to come by for the Carolina Panthers over the last several seasons. They have not been to the NFL Playoffs since the 2017 season. They have also not won more than seven games in each of the last seven campaigns.

But Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard believes that Carolina is ready to contend for a Super Bowl as soon as the 2025 season, per Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer (h/t Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk).

Hubbard told Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer that the Panthers have assembled a team that can realistically think about a championship.

“If the goal isn’t to make the playoffs and win a Super Bowl,” Hubbard said, “you’re selling yourself short. So that’s always been the goal. That’s the goal this year. And I think we’re the closest we’ve ever been.”

Hubbard has every right to feel optimistic about the Panthers, but Carolina could be years away from becoming a legitimate force in the league. That will heavily depend upon the development of quarterback Bryce Young, who has the pressure to prove to the Panthers that he’s the long-term answer under center for the team. A

s for Hubbard, he is looking to further improve on the ground after rushing for a career-high 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024.

“The browns and lions say that every year too but look at them”

“Maybe this was part of his contract overpay. Has to promote the team in interviews lol.”

“They’re finally feeling that Super Bowl energy this season.”

“Ask literally any player on any of the 32 teams & they’ll tell you the same exact thing”

“Might wanna start with being above 500 first”

“Let’s just win week 1 man”

“Maybe this was part of his contract overpay. Has to promote the team in interviews lol.”
