Andy Dalton completed the final year of his 2-year, $11 million contract, which he signed during the 2023 offseason, and was slated to hit free agency this offseason. Dalton took over as the starting quarterback in Week 3, starting the next five games, and completed 106 out of 159 pass attempts for 989 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions, with a 1-4 record. Unfortunately, the Pro Bowler suffered a sprained thumb in a car accident, and Bryce Young got the starting nod in Week 8 and has since regained the starting job.
