The Carolina Panthers made it a mission to fix their receiving corps during the 2025 NFL Draft, drafting two wide receivers as Bryce Young enters a crucial third season. They selected Arizona Wildcats star Tetairoa McMillan eighth overall and Colorado Buffaloes star Jimmy Horn Jr. with the 208th overall pick, forming an underrated receiving corps. McMillan and Horn join the likes of Adam Thielen, Xavier Legette, and Jalen Coker.

The Panthers weren’t done adding players to their roster, adding another receiver.

According to Mike Garafolo, the Panthers signed former Texas A&M Aggies Moose Muhammad III as an undrafted free agent.

He is the son of Carolina Panthers’ franchise legend Muhsin Muhammad II. Muhsin spent 11 of his 14 seasons with Carolina, hauling in 9,255 receiving yards along with two Pro Bowls and one First-Team All-Pro selection. He ended his career as the all-time leading receiver in Panthers history, but was later surpassed by Steve Smith Sr.

He had an up-and-down career with Texas A&M

Moose Muhammad III committed to the Texas A&M Aggies as a four-star recruit for the 2020 season. Muhammad had an up-and-down career at Texas A&M, finishing as the second-leading receiver in 2022 with 610 yards, due to Ainias Smith missing time with an injury. Since then, he fell out of the rotation in each of his last two seasons, catching 33 passes for 400 yards and four touchdowns in 22 games.

Muhammad had a disappointing senior year, posting the fewest receptions and receiving yards since 2020. He caught six passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns in ten games.
