Cam Ward going to the Tennessee Titans after being selected as the no. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft has Skip Bayless seething. The renowned sports journalist took to X to express his disappointment that the Titans chose to go with Ward and not his pick, Shedeur Sanders.
Cam Ward split his college football career between the Incarnate Word Cardinals, the Washington State Cougars and the Miami Hurricanes. In his senior year with Miami, the quarterback passed for 4,313 yards, scoring 39 touchdowns along with seven interceptions for the team.
“TENNESSEE JUST MADE A MONUMENTAL MISTAKE NOT TAKING SHEDEUR SANDERS.” Skip Bayless tweeted through his X account.

The Tennessee Titans are definitely desperate to get back on the winning horse after not having a successful run for years together. The team’s fans are hoping that Cam Ward will make a huge difference to their offense in the upcoming season. In the 2024 NFL season, the Titans finished fourth in the AFC South after winning only three games and losing 14.
While Cam Ward was always expected to be one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL draft, the same cannot be said for Skip Bayless’ top pick, Shedeur Sanders. Sanders became infamous in the last few weeks, with numerous scouts and analysts criticizing him for his apparently brash behavior and also his sluggish throwing skills.

Cam Ward Goes To Tennessee & Travis Hunter Goes To Jacksonville
Meanwhile, the 2025 NFL draft yielded a number of surprises along with a few strong predictions coming true. While Cam Ward has found a new home in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans, Travis Hunter as expected, was also drafted in the very first round, by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Hunter is a magnificent wide receiver/ cornerback as seen in his stats from his time with the Colorado Buffaloes. For Colorado, Hunter managed 96 receptions in total for 1,258 yards, scoring 15 touchdowns in his senior year.

In conversations leading up to the draft, Travis Hunter mentioned that he would only play for a team that allows him to fulfil both the roles of wide receiver and cornerback, just like he did for the Colorado Buffaloes. With Hunter going to the Jacksonville Jaguars right now, it is still unclear as to whether the team would allow him to play in both the roles. If not, it could led to a very displeased Hunter in his first season in the NFL.
