Chicago finally has a quarterback! After so many years of failed draft picks at the quarterback position, Bears fans can finally say they have their franchise guy, and even though it’s only the second game of the preseason, Caleb Williams looks like the real deal.
The Chicago Bears hosted the Cincinnati Bengals in their second preseason game on Saturday afternoon, and Williams and the starters got some run in the first half.
After a couple of shaky offensive drives for the Bears, Williams started to settle down in the second quarter and pulled off one of the greatest plays a Chicago quarterback has made in a while.
With 1:44 left in the second half, the Bears had the ball in the red zone, and on third down and goal, Williams did his best Patrick Mahomes impression, running around the pocket, avoiding sacks, and then taking off and running the ball for a touchdown.
Caleb. Williams.

I’ve been careful.
But I’m confident in saying only two quarterbacks in the NFL can make this throw.
