Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears quarterback, dropped his opinions on the team’s new head coach, Ben Johnson. The Bears released a new video on their YouTube channel, in which Williams discussed the fresh energy and strategies that Ben Johnson brought to their team.
Ben Johnson was hired as the new head coach of the Chicago Bears after having a brilliant season with the Detroit Lions last time out as an offensive coordinator. Johnson is not the only ex-Detroit Lions coaching staff who has received a head coaching gig for this season. Just like Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn was too a defensive coordinator with the Lions in the 2024 NFL season and became the new head coach of the Chicago Bears for the upcoming season.
“Today we had our first quiz as a QB room. And it’s not like a real quiz bee where you go up and write stuff. It’s just us, we went over a few things yesterday, talked about a few things. And Ben walked in this morning, flung open the door, made a grand entrance, and then we got to work of him testing us about what we talked about yesterday and things like that. So, already first day in and challenging us. And everybody loves a challenge in this sport. It’s one of the great things about the sport — every day is a challenge. And today, we got our first one.” Caleb Williams said in the YouTube video about his new coach, Ben Johnson.

The Chicago Bears are desperate to have a better season in 2025 after finishing fourth in the NFC North with only five wins, and 12 defeats. This will be Caleb Williams’s second season with the Chicago Bears after finishing his rookie season with the team last year.

Caleb Williams And Jaylon Johnson Discuss Ben Johnson’s Expectations
It was not only Caleb Williams who spoke great things about head coach Ben Johnson, but cornerback Jaylon Johnson chimed in too. In the same YouTube video, both Williams and Johnson shared how they were really impressed with Ben Johnson’s speech. The players were also surprised that Johnson instilled a sense of urgency into the team, making them work toward the playoffs right here and right now.

Darnell Wright, who is the right tackle of the team, also shared his opinions about Ben Johnson, mainly impressed with the head coach’s passion and fire. This is Ben Johnson’s first stint as a head coach and the players seem confident that he will lead them to the playoffs in the 2025 NFL season.
