Cornerback Caleb Presley announced he will continue his football career at the University of Oregon. Presley chose the Ducks over Michigan State, Alabama, UCLA, Texas A&M, and Washington.
After an impressive official visit to Michigan State, Presley took an unofficial trip to Oregon, where he decided to roll with the Ducks. He will reunite with former high school teammate Josh Conley Jr. at Oregon.
Demetrice Martin, the cornerback coach for the Ducks, gets the credit for reeling in Presley. Nicknamed coach Meat, Martin started scouting Presley when he coached at Colorado. Coach Martin built a strong relationship with Presley, enough for the four-star CB to join him as an Oregon Duck.
“To be completely honest, he is the reason I chose Oregon. Since he has been recruiting me, I haven’t even looked at him as a coach. He is more like an uncle. When we talk, it is always natural. We talk about real things and he tries to help me in real life.”

In Conclusion
Dan Lanning’s program brings in their tenth commit after landing Caleb Presley. The 6-foot, 180-pound corner becomes the seventh four-star prospect recruited by the Ducks.
The University of Oregon jumps to No.25 on 247Sport’s national recruiting rankings. Lanning, a defensive-minded head coach, has brought in seven four-star defensive backs since taking over the program.
The former defensive coordinator for Georgia landed his first head coaching job with the Ducks in December 2021. He replaces Mario Cristobal, the new head coach of the University of Miami.
