Caitlin Clark’s flagrant foul against Angel Reese in the Indiana Fever vs. Chicago Sky game on Saturday got a wild reaction from none other than former NFL quarterback, Robert Griffin III, commonly known as RG3. RG3 went on to announce that Angel Reese has nothing but pure hate for Caitlin Clark. However, another former footballer, Dez Bryant, chimed in on RG3’s post, commenting that his POV is related to race and that he “needs to do better”.
On Saturday, Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena was wild as Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever played the opening game of their season against Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky. At one point in the game, Clark could be slapping Reese’s arm as she tried to score. Reese was pretty pissed off at Clark and she had to be held back. Caitlin Clark was slapped with a flagrant foul 1, while Reese received a technical foul.
“Both girls are good in their own right.. Caitlin Clark is better than Angel Reese..but saying she hates her is wild. They are playing basketball.. bro. It was nothing more or less. You are helping create a negative narrative around Angel Reese..and I don’t respect it, respectfully. You know this is tied into race..and the way you’re playing it is wild. We gotta do better,” Dez Bryant remarked to Robert Griffin III about his comments on Angel Reese hating Caitlin Clark.

“Respectfully, Angel Reese said she is the villain, refused to answer questions about Caitlin Clark and has celebrated flagrant fouls on Caitlin Clark. I’m not helping create anything. Angel Reese has fed into this with her actions. She needs to do better,” Robert Griffin III responded to Dez Bryant’s comments.
Regardless of whatever opinions outsiders may have, the two players themselves seem to have put the foul behind their backs. Both Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark admitted in post-game interviews that this is all part of the game. However, Clark did mention that her actions did not warrant a flagrant foul and should have been a technical one.

Caitlin Clark’s Fever Destroys Chicago Sky In Season-Opener
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever were certainly on fire in the very first game of the season, winning with an impressive 93-58 final score. Clark led Indiana on the scoreboard with 20 points, grabbing ten rebounds and assisting ten times.

For their next matchup, the Indiana Fever will be taking on the Atlanta Dream to continue this brand new WNBA season. The Dream will be coming to this game after losing to the Washington Mystics in the first game of their season.
