What to expect from the Cougars

Jaren Hall had an amazing showing last week and will continue to do so. The Wide receivers we saw more of the younger side due to injuries to Gunner Romney (who didn’t play) and Puka Nacua (ankle) who left the game early. Both of these guys’ status is in question for Saturday. Nacua left and could have played more if the Cougars needed him, so he was more precautionary than anything. We may see some younger wide receivers if these two can’t go and that could be bad.

The defense is healthy and ready to rock again this week. The linebackers are still so hungry to hit another team that the Baylor offense may struggle to gain yards. The cornerbacks are also ready to have yet another big game and hopefully some more interceptions. Can’t let Baylor throw the long ball. Also can’t let their running backs get free.

If BYU wants to win this Saturday, the special team needs to make more tackles and step up their game.

What to expect from the Bears

Blake Shapen threw for 214 yards and two touchdowns last week. Has some long throws and will throw some more this week. Their running game put up almost 259 yards on Saturday.

The defense allowed 237 yards last week so BYU is going to have a lot of opportunities to gain those they just have to take advantage. They also have a great backfield so getting those big runs is going to be harder.
