Heading towards the 2024 NFL trade deadline on November 5th, there is the potential for the league to see quite a few high-profile deals go down. One team to keep a close eye on will be the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills are going to be shopping for some wide receiver help if the price is right. With that in mind, there are quite a few wide receivers around the league that could end up being available.
Just a few names to keep an eye on are DeAndre Hopkins, Amari Cooper, and Davante Adams. Obviously, all three of those players are legitimate stars that could completely change the outlook of the season for Buffalo.
All of that being said, the Bills are being urged to pursue a blockbuster trade for one wide receiver in particular.
Buffalo Bills Urged To Pursue Massive Trade For AFC North Star
Bleacher Report has urged Buffalo to pursue a trade for Cleveland Browns star wideout Amari Cooper. He is expected to be available if the Browns can’t turn their season around in the next week or two.
If he is made available, Cooper would be exactly the kind of piece that the Buffalo Bills need to acquire in order to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Here’s what Bleacher Report had to say about Cooper being a trade target for the Bills.
“Still, if the Bills are going to win in January and February, it would help to have one more weapon for Josh Allen. A receiving trio of Amari Cooper, Coleman and Shakir could do the trick. The Browns don’t look like they are ready to compete this season, and Cooper has little chemistry with Deshaun Watson. Trading for Cooper would be much easier financially than taking a swing on Davante Adams.”
Cooper has gotten off to a slow start this season with the Browns. Through five games, he has ended up catching 20 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown.
At 30 years old, Cooper would be a potential long-term fit for Buffalo. They would likely have to work out a new contract with him, but this could be a trade that impacts the team longer than just the 2024 season.
All of that being said, the Buffalo Bills seem like a likely candidate to trade for a wide receiver. If they can land Cooper, their Super Bowl chances would take a huge jump.
