Buffalo Bills reach an agreement with safety
The Buffalo Bills made a surprise agreement on Wednesday before the NFL new year. The Bills were expected to lose a few players from their defense to conserve cap space for the 2023 season. However, it looks like the Bills were able to strike a deal to help keep the secondary stable.
The Bills lost linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to the Chicago Bears this week, as was expected. But according to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Bills are keeping safety, Jordan Poyer for 2023. Poyer will sign a deal to keep him in Buffalo for the next two seasons.

Poyer has been with the Bills since the 2017 season. He’s earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors during his time in Buffalo. The Bills still need to create some wiggle room for their cap space. According to Over The Cap, the team has about $10 million in cap space left for 2023.
